Driving:
Around 4-5 hours from Kampala or Entebbe. Take the main roads between Kampala and Mbarara. Travelling West, take the exit approximately 500m after the trading centre Akageti, towards Lake Mburo National Park.
We are situated about 8km from the main road and 1.5 km from the Nshara park gate. Follows signs to Rwakobo Rock.
Public Transport:
Buses from Kampala – towards Mbarara.
Buses leave regularly from Central Bus Park. We advise choosing a full bus, as buses leave once they are full.
Get off about 15km after Lyantonde at a charcoal trading centre called Akageti. From Akageti a special hire taxi (approx 30,000UGX) or boda (approx 7,000UGX) can bring you to Rwakobo Rock (8km). Alternatively a lodge vehicle can pick you up if previously arranged (approx 30,000UGX).
Buses from Mbarara – towards Kampala
Akageti is about 50km from Mbarara. Do not take the first turn towards Lake Mburo at Sanga. Take the second turning on the right.
